Huntington Beach City School District held a Board Study Session on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 to discuss the remaining funding of the Measure Q Bond Program and provide direction about its distribution. The District’s Bond Program Manager, Studio W Architects, delivered a presentation on facilities modernization and development updates (link provided below). The presentation detailed the plans for renovation of Eader and Peterson Elementary Schools, incorporating a new Maintenance, Operations and Transportation facility at the District Office (Kettler site) and the future of Sowers Middle School. The group also discussed the District’s enrollment projections and school capacity, both of which play a significant role in determining the program for Sowers Middle School.
